The mission of the Civil Air Patrol Public Affairs (PA) program is to inform internal and external audiences of
Civil Air Patrol’s national importance, safeguard the image and assets of the corporation, and strengthen relations
with key audiences and customers, which enables the organization to grow.
It is my duty to carry out the above mission. This is done in a number of ways. First and foremost, this is done by
reporting all of the good things that our Group does to both internal and external audiences. This is done by posting
to the Southeast Region Newsfeed, sending press releases to the local television stations and newspapers and when
possible, having public service announcements aired on local media. Sometimes it is done by creating an event,
such as marching in the local Veteran's Day parade, and then reporting on it.
As this page develops and grows I hope you will see how our Public Affairs plan is being implemented. This program must
have interest and participation from the membership. All ideas are worth voicing.
